Multi-Color Corporation has continued its global acquisition initiative by acquiring WA's leading label business Supa Stik.

Multi-Color acquired the 45-year-old Perth Company in an all cash deal.

The sale was put together by corporate advisory firm Tomkins Turner, who were engaged by retiring Supa Stik Director Don Holywell.

Supa Stik is a leader in the WA label market, producing self-adhesive labels and other products for roll-fed application systems.

"The transaction provided us with a mechanism for generational change and opened up the management team to being part of something bigger" said Peter Holywell, the General Manager of Supa Stik. "The team at Tomkins Turner did a fantastic job completing the deal in quick time, we were really pleased with the outcome".

Supa Stik was started in its previous form by Don's father, and Peter's grandfather Bill Holywell in 1949. It changed to Supa Stik in 1969 and at the time commissioned WA's first self adhesive label press. It is now the largest provider of labels to the states wine and pharmaceutical industries.

Under the terms of the deal, Peter Holywell will continue to lead the team from the current facility in Balcatta.
